Who Are We?

First Motus is a trading journal designed for discipline and trading improvement, surrounded by a live community that highlights the top traders every day. Each morning before the U.S. market opens, you log just one trade. Pick a stock or options contract, choose Buy or Sell, add an optional note, and lock it in before 9:30 AM ET.
When the market opens, your move is recorded at the official opening price—no edits, no second-guessing, and no trades during market hours. This rule keeps everyone limited to the same number of trades per day, making trader rankings truly transparent.
You can submit one stock move and one options move per day. Every move is scored as a Win or Loss based on real market prices, giving you honest, objective feedback. To keep things clear and skill-focused, First Motus only allows three trade durations:
• Short-Term: 2 days
• Swing: 2 weeks
• Long-Term: 2 months

The Community

What really sets First Motus apart is the Community Feed—a live leaderboard where you can see the top traders, view real trade histories, and learn from what works and what doesn’t. All moves on First Motus are public by default, creating a transparent, hype-free environment where top traders are ranked purely by actual win/loss performance. Every trader has a public profile showing their full move history—no likes, no followers, just results. Log your moves, compare strategies, and get inspired alongside other serious traders. How It Works

Submit Your Move Before the Bell

Each trading day before 9:30 AM ET, you can submit one stock move and one options move. First, choose a stock or options contract, select Buy or Sell, set your trade duration (Short-Term, Swing, or Long-Term), and (optionally) add a note. Once submitted, your moves are locked in.

Market Open: Your Entry Price is locked in

At market open (9:30 AM ET), your move is automatically recorded at the official opening price for your stock or options contract. From then on, you can’t edit your move or submit new trades during market hours. This rule locks everyone in at the same time, keeping things fair for all traders.

Track Your Results

Each move is scored as a Win or Loss after your selected time frame, using real market data. Your performance is updated automatically—so you can clearly see which strategies are working and how your results change over time. With your full move history always available, it’s easy to track your progress, spot patterns, and focus on improving your trading skills day by day.

Community Feed

Check the live leaderboard to see the top traders, compare strategies, and learn from real results. Every trader has the same rules—one move per day, transparent rankings, and no do-overs.

The Motus Method

Premarket & after hours only: Submit moves when the market is closed. Locked during market hours (9:30–4:30 ET, plus 30 min for evaluation).
One move per category: Log one stock move and one options move per day. Each is tracked separately.
Objective Logging: Results are calculated using real entry and exit prices at your selected duration. No self-reported outcomes.
Performance stats: Track your win/loss rate, see move history by month and year, and export data as CSV.
Community leaderboard: The Feed ranks top traders by actual win rate (not social likes or upvotes). All moves are public and verifiable.
Profile pages: Every trader has a public profile showing their move history, win/loss stats, and recent performance.
No noise: No comment sections, chat rooms, or hype. Just your predictions, your track record, and a transparent community.
